Úlfdís

Úlfdís is a practicing Heathen, Völva, priest and devotee of Angrboda of 12 years. They prefer the mononym Úlfdís, and their pronouns are they/she. 

Úlfdís is a graduate of Temple University, now holding bachelor’s degrees in Religion Studies and in Gender, Sexuality and Women’s studies. She has an interest in American religious history, new religious movements, religion in pop culture, and the intersection of GSWS and religion. They have written several papers about the religious influences in the music of the Insane Clown Posse, receiving a research grant to expand her research to write and present “Wrestling with God is a Drag: Wrestling, Religion and Gender’s Influence on the Performance and Expression Style of the Insane Clown Posse” which they hope to continue to expand into a podcast. 

They are currently based in Maryland, where they are currently looking for full time employment, live with a cat named Panda and a couple of chickens in the yard. She enjoy the flow arts, fire spinning, Star Trek, TTRPG’s, Baldurs Gate 3, Pokémon Go, and listening to far too many podcasts. Some podcast favourites are Behind the Bastards, Weird Little Guys, It Could Happen Here, Dungeons & Daddies, You’re Wrong About, American Hysteria and Decoder Ring.

  1. Funny, I’m in Baltimore! And reading through your blog, it’s a big help not only for reading more writings/critiques of polytheism but also learning more about Angrbodha. There’s not much out there on Her, not many people work with Her I see… which is a bit confusing when it comes to figuring out how to approach Her and honor Her respectfully.
